Alton Miller - East Side EP

数多の名レーベルへの参加で知られるデトロイト・ハウス古参、Alton Millerの最新作です。今年の来日時には当店にも立ち寄ってくれましたが、かなりのナイスガイでした。本作では程良くスリージーなグルーヴ上でコズミックなシンセワークが輝く、秀逸なディープ・ハウスを展開。表題"East Side"のデトロイト印の空間性も、"Push Forward (Alton Miller Remix)"のリードの歌心も、この人らしく流麗です。艶めくアナログベースにポエトリー・リーディングが絡むトライバル・グルーヴ"Twilight Moments Rerub"は、’10年のアルバム『Light Years Away』収録曲の新ヴァージョン。ディープなトラックにソウルフルなヴォーカルを浸透させた"Can I Rize (Detroit Mix)"も絶品ですね。(DNG/ヒライ)
