Laroye - If It Ain't Jazz Volume 3

[G.A.M.M.]、[Basic Fingers]、[House Of Disco]等からのリリースが話題を呼んできたイギリス出身のDJ/プロデューサー、Aroop Royが立ち上げた新たなリワーク・シリーズ[If It Ain't Jazz]。Aroop RoyとOpolopoに続く第3弾は、[Faces Records]、[Visions Inc]、[Magic Black]、[Local Talk]等からリリースしてきたLaroyeによるもの。Charles Earlandによる永遠不滅のロフト〜レア・グルーヴ古典"Leaving This Planet"をハウス・リワークしたA面(単に四つ打ち化したわけでなく、Aroop Royが弾いたシンセやベースを足したりなど)、やはり原曲が最高なだけにこれはこれで反応せざるを得ないですね。また、Noel Pointerによるジャズファンク/フュージョン"Phantazia"をリワークしたB面ももちろんナイス。毎度ながらヴァイナル・オンリー(正確にはデジタルも販売されてますが、日本円で15万円以上します 笑)、広くおすすめの一枚です！
